Dal(split moong bean)
This is a comforting dish at any occassion .Whenever u need to take a break from heavy appetite you can just open your dal dabba and relish its simplicity.The whole flavour comes from the thadka,i feel.It took me many efforts in various ways.But then i had to stick to its simplicity .
Ingredients:
Dal-1cup
Onion-1 medium
tomato-2 medium
jeera-1tbsp
garlic-4 big cloves
green chilly-4 nos
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
goda masala-a pinch
cilantro
Method:
pressure cook dal with 3 cups water with turmeric powder and salt.
In a different pan add oil.Add jeera .Then garlic and green chilly.Let it shed its raw smell.Then add tomato and leave it to get mushy.Add the dal and a pinch of goda masala.Let it boil.garnish with cilantro....
Dal ready!
